“The Wizard of Oz”
The Sarah Thorne Junior Drama Group presents a dramatised version of the “Wizard of Oz” by L. Frank Baum.
“Dorothy thinks she’s lost forever when a tornado whirls her from her home in Kansas into a magical world. To get home, she must find the wonderful Wizard in the Emerald City. On the way she meets some new friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion. The Wicked Witch of the West however, is less friendly and has her own plans for Dorothy.
The performers are aged between 10 and 16 and rehearse on Friday evenings at the Memorial Theatre, Hilderstone, Broadstairs. This will be the 11th production the group have performed at the Memorial Theatre under the Direction of Kim Bourne. Performances will be held on Saturday 26th November at 7.30pm and on Sunday 27th November at 2.30pm, at the Memorial Theatre, Hilderstone, Broadstairs. Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for children.
